1. Price over time. Check the recurring rate, any introductory period, and what happens after it ends. Provider broadband labels may present pricing and other plan information; review the actual service contract and quote for the specific offer.
2. Additional and one-time charges. Ask about installation, construction, equipment, activation, taxes, surcharges, and cancellation charges, including which are included in quoted recurring amounts.
3. Service characteristics. Confirm the service location, quoted speeds or capacity, availability assumptions, and whether the proposal describes typical or committed performance.
4. Support and service commitments. Understand support hours, escalation routes, repair commitments, exclusions, and how any service-level remedies work.
5. Term and change conditions. Review contract length, renewal, price changes, early termination, service changes, and any order documents that form part of the agreement. Ask your procurement or legal team or an appropriate advisor to review terms as needed.
